The major international airports near New York City are:
– John F. Kennedy International Airport (JFK)
– Newark Liberty International Airport, New Jersey (EWR)

Trains, busses, and taxi cabs are available for transport to Manhattan (New York City).

From Newark-Liberty International Airport, the most efficient method of transportation is to take the Air train at the airport (cost $5.50) and connect to the PATH train to the World Trade Center station in Manhattan (cost $2.50).  The World trade Center station is a short walk from the Marriott Hotel.  This link provides more information about ground transportation from Newark airport. http://www.panynj.gov/airports/ewr-ground-transportation.html

From John F Kennedy International Airport the air train (costs $5.00) and connects to the New York City subway system (Metropolitan Transit Authority-MTA).  Take the air train from JFK to the Jamaica Center station (Not the Howard Beach station) for the MTA subway.  At Jamaica take the “E” train (costs $2.50) to Manhattan to the last stop which is the World Trade Center. This station is a short walk to the Marriott hotel.

An alternative method from JKF to Manhattan is taxi cab.  Drivers will charge a “flat rate” of $52.00 plus tolls and tips from the airport to Manhattan.  This link provides more information about ground transportation from JFK airport.  http://www.panynj.gov/airports/jfk-ground-transportation.html
